Expert employment lawyer Lousha is head of the firm. She advises both employers and employees, covering the full spectrum of employment and HR related issues, from recruitment to dismissal.

Her expertise includes both contentious and non-contentious employment law. Particular areas of focus in her day-to-day practice include negotiating exits, advising on redundancies and restructures, drafting contracts and policies, and tribunal litigation. She also regularly advises on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and absence management.

She has a wealth of experience and a proven track record in matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing claims. For over 17 years, she has represented both employees and employers at the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Work history

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2009, Lousha commenced her legal career at a top 100 firm and was an integral member of the employment law team for almost a decade. During this time, she advised a diverse client group on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters as well as the practical application of HR topics. Whilst Lousha progressed quickly through the ranks and enjoyed great success at the firm, her driven nature and entrepreneurial spirit led her to set up her own consultancy business.

As an employment law and HR consultant, Lousha continued to build on her excellent foundation, gaining invaluable experience that has enhanced her offering.

Undertaking complex grievance and disciplinary investigations and appeals, she also worked with clients on projects to deliver key HR initiatives. This means she’s walked in the shoes of HR teams, rather than being one step removed as an adviser. During that time, she also became an accredited workplace mediator with great success in conflict resolution.

Although an important part of her development and her offering as a well-rounded employment expert, the law is where her passion truly lies. This led her to re-focus her attention on her legal offering. Originally joining Refreshing Law as a consultant, she took the helm in 2025 when founder Anna Denton-Jones retired from the business.
